These terms cover Tray, a Mac app published by VEGAWEAR LTD. Downloading or using Tray means accepting them.

What the free version is

Tray is free to download and keep using. The free version holds as many files as you like and never refuses one; what it limits is reach — three files kept permanently, one watched folder, that folder’s ten newest files, no clusters, and the tray fixed to the top-left corner.

What a licence buys

Tray Pro is sold two ways, and they unlock exactly the same thing. The yearly plan is a subscription with three days free in front of it when bought through this site: the checkout takes your card and unlocks everything at once, nothing is charged until the three days are up, and cancelling inside them costs nothing. Let them run out and the year is charged, and it renews once a year after that until cancelled. The lifetime licence is bought outright in a single payment, with no trial in front of it and nothing to renew afterwards.

A licence lifts those limits — for a year from the day it is charged on the yearly plan, and for good on the lifetime one. Either way it is a licence to use the software, not a sale of it, and it is for you rather than for a machine: a licence may be moved between your own Macs by deactivating on one and activating on another. The number of Macs a single licence may be active on at once is set on the store page you bought it from.

Bought through the App Store, the same two plans are attached to your Apple ID rather than to a key: there is nothing to paste in, nothing to deactivate, and they restore on your other Macs through the App Store. Apple sets the billing and cancellation terms for those, shows them before you confirm, and its terms govern the purchase. There is no trial on that side.

Do not share a licence key with people outside your household or organisation, resell it, or try to defeat the licence check. Any of those ends the licence without a refund.

When a licence ends

If you stop renewing the yearly plan, Tray returns to the free limits described above. It does not delete anything, un-keep anything you had already kept, or break up clusters you had already made. The app keeps working. A lifetime licence does not end, so none of this reaches it.

Payment

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for anything bought through this site; Apple is for anything bought through the App Store. Whichever it is takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and is what appears on your statement — we never see a card number either way. Refunds are covered on the refunds page.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe

Tray is provided as it is. It holds references to files rather than copies of them, and it is designed never to move or delete anything — but no software is faultless, and Tray is not a backup. Keep backups of anything you would mind losing.

To the extent the law allows, VEGAWEAR LTD is not liable for lost data, lost work, lost profit or any indirect loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

These terms may change. A changed version applies from the date at the top of this page, and never retroactively to a licence already bought.
